It is time for the whole church to take the whole gospel to the whole world. God’s specific purpose is to advance the gospel and make disciples of all nations. To reap today’s unprecedented harvest; the great missions need is more laborers. It is not God’s intent merely to empower select individuals to flow in miracle anointing. God longs to empower His whole church!
There is a difference between being called to be a missionary and being called to missions. Not every believer has the missionary gift, but every Christian is called to some kind of involvement in missions. We are all called to advance the gospel in some way and to participate in the fulfilling of God’s purposes in our generation.
God is in the business of redemption, and he will accomplish his purposes through his Messiah. It is time to revisit the Great Commission once again and recall exactly what our Lord told us to do. He told us to evangelize every person on the planet. All believers are to proclaim the Good News as they go, and they are to preach it in all the world to all people. No believer is exempted from sharing, and no unbeliever is to be excluded from hearing.
November 2011 Sri Lanka Mission
Our mission team left Tulsa, Oklahoma at 8:20 am, October 31st and returned home at 9:40 pm. on November 22, 2011.
Our plane arrived in Colombo, Sri Lanka around midnight November 3. Around 5:30 a. m. on November 4th we arrived in Kandy, Sri Lanka and our mission officially began.
Below are just a few of the wonderful things the Lord accomplished during our 3-week mission.
8 Bible classes – 186 attending classes.
1 Women’s conference - 86 women attending.
23 Church Meetings/Meetings with 2180 plus children attending + 4 meetings held by Brother John with approximately 1000.
We ministered to approximately 3,200 people in 27 meetings + 8 Bible Classes.
From the 3,200, there were:
1 Baby Dedication
The first part of the commission—preaching the gospel to every person is doable in our lifetime. We have enough money to do it, if we will allocate it. We have the human resources, if we will deploy them. The greater issue than the need for money or manpower is if we have the WILL!
Thanks to all who supported this mission with prayer and finances. Much seed was planted and our personal lives have been changed and greatly enriched by this wonderful experience. What an honor it is that our Heavenly Father would entrust us with this awesome mission.
I’m looking forward to 2012 as the Lord reveals the next mission trip. I believe that all of us are ‘willingly’ praying, ‘willingly’ giving, and ‘willingly’ taking the gospel to the whole world. I also pray for God’s peace to rest on each of you and his fullest blessing to come to you and your families in the coming year.
There will more information concerning our Sri Lanka Mission coming soon and will be posted on our blog. Please continue to check in for updates.
